Scholarships. Merit awards of up to $16,500 are available to new students. Use the Scholarship Calculator to estimate your award.
Net Price. An education at Mary Baldwin College is more affordable than you might think. Generous merit and need-based scholarships, grants and loans are available. Use the Net Price Calculator to estimate your financial aid award package. The calculator only provides a rough estimate of financial aid and may not adequately capture your unique situation. We encourage students and families to complete the FAFSA (Mary Baldwin College School Code: 003723) after January 1st, so that we can prepare an individual financial aid package for you.
Julia’s List. Named in honor of the college’s 19th-century leader Mary Julia Baldwin, this list is comprised of returning students who have demonstrated academic excellence. Based on both merit and need, the fund will offer assistance so that they may continue their momentum at MBC.
Federal Grants. Grants are based on need — many more students are eligible for assistance than ever before. You must complete the FAFSA or FAFSA en Español to receive these grants.
State Grants. If you are a Virginia resident you will receive a grant of approximately $2,500 – $2,600. The State will advise colleges of the exact amount during the academic year. Complete the TAG (Tuition Assistance Grant) form (PDF). It is easy to apply and you do not pay it back. Other states grants may be available based on FAFSA information. Out of state tuition assistance grants are also available.
ROTC scholarships. If you are in the Virginia Women’s Institute for Leadership (VWIL), one of Mary Baldwin’s leadership gateways, you may apply for a ROTC scholarship as a high school senior or after your enrollment at MBC. Contact vwil@mbc.edu for more information.
