First Year Courses ...

challenge new students to explore and engage with intellectual purpose while also offering maximized support and resources for the successful transition to college-level learning.

First Year Courses ...

include a weekly Learning Lab, where you will work closely with your peers and an upper-level student teaching assistant to explore course material and receive hands-on assistance in those integral pieces of college learning like study skills and test preparation, college-level writing skills, and much more.

We recommend choosing a course in a discipline in which you may feel particularly anxious, or in one that is personally relevant for you.
