Parents Giving

The Parents Fund is an integral part of the Annual Fund. Parents of Mary Baldwin students are encouraged to make gifts that will enhance their daughter’s college experience. Many parents of alumnae also demonstrate their ongoing support of a Mary Baldwin College education by supporting the Parents Fund.

Parent participation is vital. It strengthens the college’s focus on academic excellence and enriches the community environment. Parent gifts provide a crucial source of income that helps keep Mary Baldwin strong.

THE SMITH CHALLENGE — An Extraordinary Opportunity

Mrs. Smith will match every dollar of your gift to the Parents Fund! The Smith Challenge is an extraordinary opportunity for you and all parents of current and former MBC students to raise a remarkable $300,000 that will have an immediate and positive impact on your daughter’s alma mater.

Here’s the challenge: As a group, you — and other parents of MBC students and alumnae — must raise $150,000 to secure Mrs. Smith’s matching gift of $150,000. To realize the full potential of Mrs. Smith’s Challenge, parents must meet the $150,000 goal before June 30, 2008.
