Each year, Mary Baldwin College alumnae/i, parents, and friends have the opportunity to connect with today’s students through the Spencer Society Phonathon. Throughout the school year, members call thousands of constituents to keep them up-to-date on the exciting things happening at MBC and to give them the opportunity to provide financial support to the college.
What is the mission of the Spencer Society Phonathon?
The Spencer Society Select Phonathon was established in honor of President Emeritus, Samuel Spencer, Jr. in 1995. Our mission is to spread Baldwin pride by raising friends and funds for Mary Baldwin College. We work hard to build strong, positive relationships with MBC alumnae/i, parents, and friends. If you receive a call from a student, take the opportunity to find out how things have changed since you last visited campus!
Why does Mary Baldwin ask for support?
Net tuition dollars cover only about half of what it really costs to operate MBC for an entire school year. The Baldwin Fund helps to cover the remaining costs. Making phone calls offers a personal
touch between donors and current students.
Thank you to all who answer our phonathon calls! We appreciate your contributions to the Baldwin Fund!
