To place a request on a book:

In the Grafton catalog, you may place a request by clicking the Request Item button next to the title you want to request.  You should see a form that asks for your Username and Password.  If you do not have registered in the catalog see how to register below. After entering your User information, hit the Place Request button and the request comes to us.

If you have any problems, please contact Christina Daniel at cdaniel@mbc.edu or 540.887.7085. It is possible that you are not in the library's system, but we can add you in immediately.  Requests will be processed by 2:00pm the first business day after the request has been placed.

To create a list of selected titles:

Once you have done a search in the library catalog, you may create a list of selected titles.  Click the My List to select books you. When you are ready to print your list, click on the tab at the top of the screen that says My List.  From there, you can manage your list by removing titles, putting the list in a brief format, etc.  To print the list, choose the Print option on your browser.

To view your patron record:

On the top right corner of the Grafton online catalog, you should see an option to Login.

When you click on the Login button, you will be asked to enter your username and password.  If you receive a message, such as "Invalid Username or Password," you may need to register as a new user or contact the library, see Troubleshooting below.

Once you are logged in, click on the My Account tab. You can view your what items you have checked out and when they are due, what requests you may have made, and what blocks or fines you have. These options will be at the top of the screen.

To register as a new catalog user:

1. You will need your MBC I.D. Number.
2. You will need to brainstorm a username and a password. The library does not issue or store this information. Therefore, make it something easy for you to remember.
3. You will also need to brainstorm a question for retrieving your password and an answer to the question. Again, this information is not kept by the library.

Click on the Login button in the library catalog. You will see a screen that asks you for your username and password. Directly above is a link that says, " register as a new information portal user." Click on the link to register.

On the next screen select Grafton Library and click the Next button.

The screen to create a new username and password, will appear.

Troubleshooting:

If you receive an error message after trying to register, such as "Invalid Username or Password,"please contact the library at (540)887-7085 or use the Ask A Librarian question form.
