Grafton Library is named in honor of Martha
S. Grafton, professor emerita of sociology and dean emerita of
the college. Dean Grafton served the college in various administrative
capacities from 1930 to 1970. The library was built in 1967 and
underwent a major renovation in 1999.
Grafton Library provides access to print and
digital resources and currently contains over 150,000 volumes and
over 19,000 print and online journal subscriptions. The library
participates in the Virtual Library of Virginia Project, the
Shenandoah Valley Independent College Library Consortium, the
Virginia Independent College and University Association and the
Southeastern Library Network. |

Facilities
Computers: There are 8 computers on the main floor, 8
computers in the periodicals room, and 12 computers in Grafton 302.
(See lab hours) MBC users may log
on to use the Microsoft Office Suite software (including Word, PowerPoint,
Excel, Access, and FrontPage) and access
MBC e-mail.
Copiers: The library has two copy machines located on the main floor and in the periodicals room. It costs $0.10
to make a copy.
Restrooms: Restrooms are located near the elevator
on the ground and Mezzanine floors.
Scanners: Two scanners are available for MBC users: one in the periodicals room and one in Grafton 302. There is no charge for scanning.
Telephones: There is a telephone for public use on the ground floor of the library, just outside of the periodicals room.
Wireless: Grafton Library offers wireless access on all three floors. Patrons will need to login to the MBC network and install Cisco Clean Access on their computers.
