Where Women Lead the Way
In every program, for every student, leadership opportunities that build character and competence are at the heart of Mary Baldwin College.
Whether a nULL in the Virginia Women’s Institute for Leadership, an aspiring teacher, or a budding chemist, students at MBC are imbued with the principles of leadership and citizenship through experiential learning — opportunities that include internships, robust research projects, volunteering, and field work. Students may also choose to pursue a leadership studies minor, designed for students who are entrepreneurs, future heads of non-profits, and organization leaders.
Much has changed at Mary Baldwin since its founding, but its legacy of leadership has persisted as students dare to make a difference, engage in service to their communities, and initiate change in our neighborhood and around the world.
