Mathematics
As a mathematics major at Mary Baldwin College, you will gain an appreciation for the beauty of mathematics as well as an understanding of the analytical, practical, and technical skills necessary to succeed in the marketplace, in industry, as a classroom teacher, or in graduate school. The programs in the department are clustered around the following emphases.
- Mathematics education
- Working in industry
- Graduate study in mathematics, engineering or statistics
- Graduate study in biomedical engineering or mathematical biology
Students can pursue a BS with a major in math. Math also is available as a minor.
Mathematics is part of Mary Baldwin’s School of Science and is available through the College for Women and Adult Degree Program* in Staunton.
