Creating a Habitat

Mary Baldwin College grounds workers have begun work on a bird and butterfly habitat near the Pannill Center that will soon include a bubbling water feature and native plants. The nature project is made possible by a $1,000 donation from the Augusta Bird Club. MBC Grounds Supervisor Jeff Wagner said he hopes to complete work on the habitat — which will be situated near Page Garden and the Betty Gold art sculpture — in the next two weeks.
