The MBC catalog for 1879-80 announced the establishment of The Cooking School,
which the principal was sure would be popular because, "It is now acknowledged by
all that training in the domestic arts is a very important part of a girl;s education." Cooking lessons cost $20 for the session of 40 weeks. |
