If you are having trouble

–If you don’t see the picture you want to see, slowly press the correct input on the Extron control panel.

–if you would like to temporarily remove distracting content from the screen, press an input button on the Extron that doesn’t have any signal going to it, and the projector will show blue screen. The Laptop 2 button will typically not have any content.

–If you don’t hear anything but you are playing audio from the PC or laptop, check the computer’s volume setting by clicking on the small speaker icon in the lower right corner and raising the volume control. Check the volume control on the Extron control plate, to make sure it is turned up. If you are using a VGA laptop, make sure that the Laptop Audio plug is pushed into the laptop’s headphone output. Loud buzzing usually means that it is plugged into the microphone jack instead.

— Because we have more sources than inputs available on the video projector, a VGA laptop signal has to “loop” through the doc cam. The doc cam has to be turned on for the laptop’s picture to be visible.

–If you see the picture you want to see but it is a strange color like green or pink, a cable is partially plugged in. Check the cables to a laptop, the Doc Cam, and the wallplate, if there is one.

–If there are messages from the projector like Please Clean Filter, please let the Help Desk know at x7075 or help@mbc.edu.
