Dr. Fox became the President and Professor of Music at Mary Baldwin College in July 2003, having served as a Professor of Music, Dean and Assistant Vice President for Strategic Planning at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio for 20 years. She immediately launched a comprehensive project to co-create with the entire MBC community an innovative new strategic plan for the next ten years, titled Composing Our Future: Mary Baldwin College 2014. Under her leadership, MBC has committed to inclusive community, upholding the cherished traditions as a leading woman’s college, cultivating innovation and academic excellence, enhancing civic engagement and global citizenship, and building our campus for the future. Over the past five years the college achieved record enrollment, renovated its historic campus, created the Spencer Center for Civic and Global Engagement, launched 19 new and enhanced academic programs and our four Schools of Excellence, and completed the $30 million Smith Challenge as the foundation for the current Campaign for Mary Baldwin College. She continues to provide us vision and strategic direction toward 2015, as we lead the way as the women-centered university for the 21st century.
