Financial Aid

The MLitt/MFA program awards a range of financial aid scholarship awards for each incoming class. These include multiple scholarship positions and two graduate assistantships.

Scholarships

Scholarship students receive tuition waivers for three to nine credit hours each semester. Scholarship recipients must be registered for a minimum of nine credit hours each regular semester to maintain eligibility for aid. Other scholarship awards of varying amounts are granted when funds are available.

Graduate Assistantships

Graduate assistants receive tuition waivers for six credit hours each semester, as well as a monthly stipend. In return, the assistants work in the program office, aid professors with research and class preparation, and assist with program events. Graduate assistants must be registered for nine credit hours each regular semester to maintain eligibility for aid.

Loans

With few exceptions, all incoming and returning students are eligible to apply for and receive loans for tuition and living expenses. For further information, please contact Megan Hartless in the Financial Aid Office.
