Internships

An internship is a hands-on experience incorporated into an educational program. It is valuable and rewarding for both the student and the employer. The student gains practical training and the employer benefits from the contributions an intern makes in the workplace.

At Mary Baldwin College, a student may earn up to 15 hours of internship credit. Policies vary across academic disciplines, but the standard requirement is that for each 50 hours worked, a student may receive one credit hour. For more information, see the Guidelines for Internships (MSWord) or visit the Sena Center.
