Health Services
The MBC Health Center is located on the lower level of Blakely House. Holly Karicofe is the Registered Nurse on staff.
HOURS OF OPERATION:
Mon., Tues., Thurs., Fri., 8 am – 5 pm
Wed., 9 am – 6 pm.
* Please note that hours may vary due to Health Center Educational Presentations
and/or events. You may want to call ahead or check the Health Center door
for any changes.
Clinician Hours (Appointments Preferred):
- Appointments are recommended and given priority, but walk-ins are accepted
- Call 540-887-7016 to schedule an appointment
- A healthcare provider is available to see students approximately 19 hours
per week

SERVICES AND FEES 2007-2008
Students are responsible for knowing their individual insurance policy requirements and coverage for medical services, such as preauthorization or precertification, and should always carry a copy of their insurance card.

NOTE: Services denoted with an asterisk (*) must be paid for at the time of visit, as these are non-billable services. Any services you wish to remain confidential need to be pre-paid. Otherwise, a bill or insurance statement will be sent to your parents address.

After Hours Care

- Physicians are available 24 hours a day at the hospital. Students should
bring current insurance information with them, if possible. AMC will file
the insurance claim and bill parents the balance.
- URGI CARE Center located in the emergency department at AMC. It is open from 5-10 p.m., Monday-Friday and 2-10 p.m., Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
