Courses
The African-American studies minor provides a cross-section of courses that address the historical, sociological, political, and cultural factors that influence the lives of African descended people. The courses in this curriculum challenge students’ critical thinking, writing, and problem solving skills. Students are required and encouraged to participate in community service projects and research that extends beyond the academic classroom.
