Priyanka '12, a mathematics minor (pictured at right), attended a summer workshop on the Application of Mathematics to Physiology and Medicine at Duke University. There, she studied a mathematical model of arsenic detoxification.
The Mathematics Department is excited to welcome two new faculty members, Jodie Miller and James Hughes. Ms. Miller is currently working on her dissertation for an EdD in mathematics pedagogy from Montclair State University in New Jersey, and Dr. Hughes recently received his PhD in mathematics from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville,Virginia.
