Academics at MBC
Preparing students for careers in teaching has always been a commitment of Mary Baldwin College. The Teacher Education Program is based upon the belief that a teacher should have the broad background provided by the liberal arts. Undergraduates must major in one of the liberal arts disciplines and also satisfy the aims of the Mary Baldwin College Advantage by meeting other requirements as part of the general education curriculum. The Virginia Collegiate Professional Teaching License offered at MBC is recognized by other states through reciprocity.
