Experiential learning is a hallmark of the Mary Baldwin College experience, and MBC is committed to providing international study and cross-cultural competence as vital parts of a transforming, liberal arts education that fosters active, engaged citizens of the world.
Regardless of academic major or language ability, students are encouraged to travel, study, or volunteer overseas. Students can apply for short-term study abroad courses organized and led by MBC faculty during May Term or plan to volunteer outside the United States for a summer, semester, or year, either at one of the college’s partner universities or through non-MBC programs.
The Spencer Center for Civic and Global Engagement is a great place to start exploring study abroad options. Contact Rhea Vance-Cheng ’09 in the Spencer Center at 540-887-7113 or email@example.com.
