Students of theatre become artists, whether they choose to be on stage or back stage. At Mary Baldwin, all students — not just majors — have five opportunities each year to participate in a main-season show, including an annual musical. Students design and run lights, stage-manage, build sets, design costumes, handle publicity, and manage props. All female roles are performed by Mary Baldwin students.
Students can pursue a BA with a major in theatre. Theatre also is available as a minor.
MBC is a part of MBC’s School of Arts, Humanities, and Renaissance Studies and is available through the College for Women and Adult Degree Program in Staunton.
