VWIL VideoThe Virginia Women’s Institute for Leadership (VWIL) is the nation’s premier leadership program for young women. It is unlike any other U.S. military academy for women.

The female Corps of Cadets is organized according to military structure, and its comprehensive program builds tomorrow’s leaders in military and civilian service. VWIL is Virginia’s most ethnically diverse student corps and it combines academics, physical training, leadership practice, and co-curricular activities.

From Wilderness Week during a cadet’s initial days at Mary Baldwin to the Change of Command ceremony that marks the culmination of the program, VWIL creates a challenging, transformative experience.
