VWIL Band
The Virginia Women’s Institute for Leadership (VWIL) marching band is made up of VWIL Cadets as well as non-cadets. The band participates in monthly parades, honor ceremonies, and special celebrations including annual Christmas parades in Staunton and Lexington and the St. Patrick’s Day parade in New York City. It also has marched in four gubernatorial parades and was the sole college marching unit chosen to perform at the 2003 opening of the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, part of the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum. For more information, contact director Andrew Reed.
