The spacious and elegant Lyda B. Hunt Dining Hall, with its tall windows that offer remarkable views of Staunton and surrounding mountains, offers a variety of culinary options, including vegetarian selections at each meal. Lunch and dinner include a wide array of salads, homemade soups, desserts, fast food fare, made-to-order sandwiches, comfort foods, dishes that feature local ingredients, healthful choices, and a cook ‘n go station where students can cook a variety of foods for themselves.
Several on-campus gardens provide fresh vegetables and herbs for use in meals at the dining hall, and food waste is composted on site or donated to local farmers.
