My paintings dwell in the realm of portraiture with its extended history. I aim for my work to carry a weight of truthfulness in the way I see the world. When I paint portraits, I learn more about my identity and the goodness of God during my creative process. I use various techniques to create an illusion of space on a two-dimensional surface with complex layers. Presently, I am fascinated with Northern Renaissance portraits by Albrecht Durer, Jan Van Eyck, and Hans Holbein. I am excited to further my painting experience after graduation and perhaps add another element to this timeless genre.
